St. George Island (part 2)

Okay, so it wouldn't let us publish everything we wanted to, so we had to create 2 parts! After dinner, we would go for walks on the beach. Ava really loved the back pack her Uncle Chris gave her. She loved the nature preserve and especially the walk to get ice cream at Aunt Ebby's.

The last day was quite windy...we almost lost Ava (aka the flying nun) to a large gust of wind!

Maybe next year, Ava will decide to get her feet wet in the gulf...instead of hiding out in her tent!

Either way, we can't wait to go back next

year!

St. George Island (part 1)

June 3rd we left for one of our favorite family retreats, St. George Island Florida for a week of fun in the sun and relaxation! Once we arrived we unpacked and got Ava ready for the beach! She didn't react well to the ocean and was quite scared of the crashing waves.

The next morning the boys woke up bright and early and went fishing. The girls packed up and headed down to the beach. Ava enjoyed the beach more that day and had fun playing under the tent with her beach toys.

The boys also had a great day fishing, even though it was very hot. They caught a variety of fish from flounder, trout, triple tail and even a shark!! That night Chris, Nick and Drake headed back to Atlanta. Hopefully next year they can spend a few more days with all of us!

We relaxed most of the time alternating between the beach and the pool.

After all that playing in the sun...Ava was pooped!
