Wild Animal Safari
On Saturday we headed off to Pine Mountain to have a little family getaway. Ava is facinated with animals so we decided to see what the Wild Animal Safari was all about.
We decided to drive our car, instead of the Zebra striped clunkers they offer you to rent. Later on when our car was completely slimmed by animal spit we wished we had rented one of their vans!
At first Ava was a little scared. Especially since the first animal she saw was a huge cow looking think and it came up and poked his head right thru our window!
It didn't take her too long to warm up and she became very excited and screamed with delight.
Ava kept waiving her hand in front of her face saying shoo shoo. We had a great time...even though it was a little smelly!

Baking 101
Last week, Ava received her first baking lesson from Mimi and Gigi. It has been a family tradition to bake dozens of Christmas cookies every year. This year was even more special as Ava got to take part.
Ava's favorite part of the day was of course tasting a sugar cookie.

Pink Pig 2006
A few weeks ago we went and rode the Pink Pig at
Macy's. This was Ava's second year riding the Atlanta legend and she had a great time!! When the ride took off, she started screaming in delight!
Gigi bought Ava a pink pig...she loves her very very much!
Ava had so much fun and didn't want to leave!

Our Little Elf
This past weekend, we decided to get the Morrow Manor ready for the holidays. This year is extra special as we have an "extra" pair of elf hands to help us deck the halls. Ava loves to be outside and had so much fun helping her daddy get the little tree ready for the front porch.

Earlier that day, she was VERY helpful in helping me set up my Christmas in the City village.

She had lots of fun trimming the tree. We had to hang the star BEFORE all the ornaments were hung, because Ava just couldn't wait!

She loves to see if anyone has left anything in her stocking...

And Monday, while I was trying to hang more ornaments...she decided to pull them off one by one. To say the least, this holiday season is going to be quite interesting at the Morrow Manor!

Thanksgiving 2006
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year and enjoyed getting to spend time with our families. Ava couldn't wait to chow down, but not until she put her hands out to say grace.
This year she really enjoyed all the Thanksgiving treats and couldn't get enough to eat!
We are very thankful for all that God has blessed us with and we hope all of you had a wonderful day!

Fun in the Puerto Rican Sun!
Last week, Papa Guy once again loaded up his girls and their gear and headed off to Puerto Rico. Ava did wonderful on the 4 hour flight there, and couldn't wait to set her feet in the warm waters of the Caribbean.

This time she really enjoyed playing in the sand and splashing in the ocean. Every time we got close to the water she would yell out "fish fish". We also had fun walking in the hotel's gardens at night. Ava couldn't get enough of the little "coqui" frogs and would sing along with them.

Of course we couldn't go to Puerto Rico and not go shopping. Ava loved to stare at all the jewelry, hats and handbags. We actually had to pull her away when it was time to leave.
We had a wonderful time, and hopefully we will be able to go back sometime soon!

One little cute Goldfish...
This year for Halloween, Ava decided to be a little goldfish. She loved her costume, and walked
around "quacking" at everyone. We think she was having a bit of an identity crisis and confused
herself as a duck instead of
a fish. Well whether she was a fish or a duck she certainly "stole" the show. Here are a couple pictures of her last night before and after the halloween festivities.
Ava really ennjoyed wearing her costume and cried when we took it off. We hope all of you had a great Halloween!!

Happy Fall!!!
Here are just a few fall pictures. Ava really enjoys being outside cruising around the block in her radio flyer wagon. She has also become very curious and has to investigate and climb on everything!

Burts Pumpkin Patch
Last week, while Nick was in North Dakota. Ava and I spent some time with Mimi and Papa Guy in Cornelia. We decided to head up to Dawsonville and visit Burt and his pumpkin patch.
Ava's favorite part was the hayride.
This trip was very special as Gigi, G-paw, Great Uncle Jim and Great Aunt Sue got to visit Burt's
as well.

Ava had fun picking out a pumpkin...or two! She can't wait to visit Burt's again next year and pick out an even bigger one!
